Senior Club is for young people aged 13+
We are open Mondays & Thursdays
It costs 50p entrance. All activities are decided
& agreed by the young people who attend. Some of the activities on offer are:
Arts & crafts, sports, trips & residentials, projects, you can also get health & relationship advice plus free condoms & pregnancy testing.
Babysitting Course is for BOYS & Girls who want to learn how to be a good babysitter. You will learn first aid, new games to play, how to care for a baby or small child plus you will gain an award for doing it! Monday’s Young people must be over 13 to begin course.
Junior Club is for young people aged 11 – 13
Cost 50p entrance. As with Senior Club all activities are decided and agreed by the young people who attend.
Hathern Detached Project. Youth workers from Shepshed Youth Centre go out on the streets of Hathern to work with the young people aged 12+. Activities include trips, cooking on an open fire, games and much more..
Young parents group. On Wednesday afternoons we run a group for young parents aged up to 25 years. This group looks at young parent’s issues e.g. housing, health, money matters and parenting.
ASC Group, (Adventure Service Challenge). The Wednesday 3.15 – 5.15pm. This group is for adventurous young people looking for a challenge. Cost for this club is
£1 to include a drink and biscuits.
’s Award, Wednesdays is for 14+ young people who wish to work through the three levels from Bronze to Gold and gain an accreditation that is recognised by employers and universities. Edinburgh
Woodhouse Youth Group held every Wednesday in the village hall . All young people welcome. Many activities on offer & you get a say in what you want or need. Come and join us!
Lunch Clubs. We are also open at lunch times from Monday to Thursday. 12 noon – 1.00pm for SHS & for
. Young people can use the facilities and equipment and access health and relationship information and advice. Hind Leys College
Committee. We have a young persons Committee that meet once a month. This is run by young people for young people and they make the decisions on what happens in the Youth Centre. Anyone interested in joining should contact Soroya.
Inclusion Project. This group is for young people who may need some time during the day away form school. Work is done with young people on issues affecting them.
Summer & Half Term holidays we are open with loads to do. Come and pick up a programme now as places on trips are limited!
